The DRAGademy

In the organizer's words:

The DRAGademy: 12-part drag workshop series

Knowledge makes lashes: The DRAGademy teaches in monthly workshops how make-up, persona and performance are created - from the initial idea to the big performance.

Welcome to the DRAGademy - a joint initiative of Pathos Theater and Vicky Voyage that offers a ticket to the world of transformation, art and extravaganza. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced performer: The monthly workshop series guides you through make-up, wig styling, stage presence, costumes, lighting design and character work. A performance is created from an idea - fierce, fabulous and authentic. After a master class, the final event is a showcase in which what has been learned is presented live on stage in front of an audience. The
places are limited, participation in several workshops increases the chances of being
the final event on stage. The DRAGademy is open to all genders and levels of experience. Whether Queen, King, Thing or any other form - all colors of the rainbow are celebrated here!

The DRAGademy aims to support people in expressing themselves creatively through drag, building skills and developing stage presence. The aim is to provide a safe space to learn, try out and grow - with professional guidance, artistic depth and a queer perspective on performance. From technique to expression, the series teaches drag as an art form and tool for identity and empowerment for entertainment. The end result is not just a performance, but a transformation - inside and out.

The DRAGademy is aimed at anyone who wants to get to know or deepen their knowledge of drag - regardless of gender, background or previous experience. Curious people with no previous experience are welcome, as are performers who want to improve their expression, make-up or stage presence. Whether King, Queen, Monster or Mix - anyone who wants to transform themselves creatively is in the right place here. The series also specifically addresses queer people, BIPoC, FLINTA and people with little access to artistic education.
to artistic education.
