The DRAGademy #6
Feel the Fantasy!
What to do with the body on stage? This workshop with performer Hendrik "Bibi" Lebon is all about movement, expression and physical presence in drag performances. Whether you're a beginner or a stage professional, this workshop is all about becoming more aware of your own body, playing with space, rhythm and dynamics and discovering yourself through dance. For many, dealing with movement is a hurdle - this workshop provides a remedy: with warm-up exercises, dance basics, improvisation and exercises for stage effect, we will work together on how to give physical expression to a drag act. We will play, sweat, feel and try things out - from initial movement approaches to more complex combinations. Suitable for all levels - even without dance experience. Bring comfortable clothing, props (if available), heels if necessary and the desire to experience yourself in a new way through movement.
About the DRAGademy
Welcome to the DRAGademy - a joint initiative of PATHOS theater and Vicky Voyage that offers a ticket to the world of transformation, art and extravaganza. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced performer: The monthly workshop series guides you through the topics of make-up, wig styling, stage presence, costumes, lighting design, character work and much more. A performance is created from an idea - fierce, fabulous and authentic. After a master class, the final event is a showcase in which what has been learned is presented live on stage in front of an audience. Places are limited; participation in several workshops increases the chances of being on stage at the final event. The DRAGademy is open to all genders and levels of experience. Whether Queen, King, Thing or any other form - all colors of the rainbow are celebrated here!
