Review and outlook on the centenary of the Rhineland

Founded in 2012 by Peter Rubel and Pedro Goncalves Crescenti, "The Düsseldorf Düsterboys" have made a name for themselves in the German indie scene with their idiosyncratic mix of lo-fi folk, psychedelic sounds and melancholic spoken word. Their sound is characterized by reduced arrangements, surreal lyrics and a charmingly quirky humour reminiscent of the singer-songwriter tradition of the 70s - only with a modern, ironic twist. Their debut album "Nenn mich Musik" (2019) was acclaimed by critics and marked the beginning of their very own musical language.

Following the premiere of "Konstellationen" on the Small Stage, "The Düsseldorf Düsterboys" will bring the anniversary festival week to a glorious close on the Main Stage of the Rheinisches.
