Jawu, a young mother in a floating slum in La- gos, discovers a secret sum of money destined for a real estate project that threatens her home. Chosen by the spirit of the warrior king Egbaezen, she must overcome isolation and temptation and become a voice of the community facing destruction. Inspired by real-life forced evictions in Lagos, the film tells of loss, resistance and the power of collective hope. Created as a project by a collective of directors with the active participation of the affected communities, it is at once an anthem, a call to arms and a document about a city in transition.
