The Longest Johns - THE ENDS OF THE EARTH TOUR

English folk band The Longest Johns have made a name for themselves worldwide with their harmonious voices, energy and fresh interpretation of traditional sea shanties. With their social media hit 'Wellerman', they sparked a global revival of traditional shanties in 2021. Following their successful "The Voyage Tour" in 2024, the band is now returning to Germany for two exclusive concerts.

Formed in 2012 around a kitchen table in Bristol, Jonathan JD Darley, Andy Yates and Robbie Sattin quickly found each other. Their shared passion for maritime folk music, their sense of humor and their interest in digital culture shaped their songwriting from the very beginning, combining old traditions with modern elements. They performed at open-mic evenings, recorded their first songs and developed into an internationally acclaimed folk band.

In addition to their debut album "Written in Salt" (2016), their discography includes numerous releases, including the fan album "Voyage" with book, illustrations and lyrics, which appeared in 2024. In 2025, they rounded off their "Pieces of Eight" series, a collection of monthly EPs that was compiled into a 24-track album. With over 500,000 YouTube subscribers and around 700,000 monthly Spotify listeners, The Longest Johns show how traditional folk music can be communicated in a contemporary, digital and globally successful way.

Live, the trio inspires audiences with their harmonious voices, captivating energy and special stage presence. Highlights of their tours to date include sold-out concerts at the Troubadour in Los Angeles, performances for the late Queen's birthday at the British Embassy in Paris and festivals from Glastonbury to the Falmouth Sea Shanty Festival.

For the German dates in 2026, The Longest Johns will return to Cologne and Hamburg for two exclusive concerts. With their blend of passion, maritime tradition and rousing live performance, they promise unforgettable evenings full of music, stories and song.
