After more than a decade, Rona returns to her home on the remote Orkney Islands. As she rediscovers the unique landscape in which she grew up, her childhood memories intermingle with the last time she was addicted. Her departure for the city at the time and the subsequent dissolute years in London ended in a painful crash. But little by little, the encounter with the harsh nature of the islands becomes an opportunity for a new life.

Under the direction of German filmmaker Nora Fingscheidt, the stormy journey of a young woman who finds her way back to herself in the solitude of the Scottish Orkney Islands unfolds in impressive images. This moving drama, which has been nominated for several film awards, is an extraordinary film about alcoholism: aesthetically pleasing, completely non-judgmental and starring a brilliant Saoirse Ronan.
