Barbershop chorus "The Rhubarbs" at the Bonn Theater Night

The women's barbershop chorus "The Rhubarbs" will be performing again this year as part of the Bonn Theatre Night on 13.05.2026, presenting an expressive a cappella program at 8.30 pm in the Trinitatiskirche in Bonn-Endenich. With four-part harmonies, precise intonation (in layman's terms??) and a lively stage presence, the result is an intense sound experience that makes the special character of barbershop singing immediately tangible.

In addition to classic barbershop songs, the 25 women perform popular pop and rock songs. And because the singers' creativity knows no bounds, they also present songs they have rewritten themselves. These, along with the announcements about the songs, some of which are delivered with a wink, give the audience an insight into the slightly crazy but very endearing chorus community.

"The Long Theater Night thrives on its special atmosphere, the variety of venues and the performances - we are delighted to be part of this evening and to inspire the audience with our music," say Bettina Vogel and Ulrike Koll, co-choir directors of the Rhubarbs.
