Elizabeth Sparkle (Demi Moore) was once the most sought-after star in Hollywood. Her star on Hollywood Boulevard has been forgotten over the years, however, and shortly before her 50th birthday she was an aerobics TV star on the afternoon program. But even that is now over. Her bored program director (Dennis Quaid) fires her to make room for a young face. A mysterious drug is used to create a younger clone called Sue (Margaret Qualley). While Sue gets the TV job almost effortlessly, Elizabeth lies comatose in bed. Sue can stay on earth for a week at a time before Elizabeth takes over again - thus maintaining the perfect balance in her body. When Elizabeth's week begins, both their lives are soon turned completely upside down.
