Ali tries to keep control: over his broken home, his sick mother, his fragile marriage and his insecure job. When the mysterious death of his mother raises questions and his father Hamit disappears without a trace, the situation threatens to become increasingly unstable. While searching for Hamit, old tensions resurface and new accusations arise. At the same time, Ali meets Reza, who initially stands by him and distracts him from his anger, his feelings of guilt and revenge. But is he really so altruistic?
Director Alireza Khatami spins a multi-layered, award-winning thriller-drama about family rifts, smouldering conflicts and the roles we take on or avoid in crises.
