Sascha Förster, the director of the Hofgartenhaus Düsseldorf Theater Museum, takes interested visitors on a guided tour of the permanent exhibition 1904 to 1947: Change between awakening & archive. The permanent exhibition presents the fascinating stories of the Düsseldorf Schauspielhaus (Dumont-Lindemann), a unique modernist reform project founded in 1904. 42 different objects are presented in a huge display case and tour guests can decide for themselves which objects they want to learn more about.
Each month, the guided tour focuses on different topics relating to theater history. In August, Sascha Förster will explain the history of theater photography in the early 20th century using the example of the Schauspielhaus Düsseldorf.
Finally, there will be a view from the best balcony in Düsseldorf and some information on the history of the Hofgartenhaus.
