What makes people fascists? What makes people remain fascists?

Milton Mayer was an American journalist and sociologist of German-Jewish descent. In the 1950s, he interviewed ex-Nazis, resulting in one of the first studies of its kind. The book and play are the result of these interviews. Mayer's interviewees testify - some repentant, some still convinced - about joining the party, the promises of fascism, their relationships with the Jewish members of their community and the possibility of resistance.

The play is followed by a 30-minute moderated dialog. In it, we reflect on what we have seen, on the past, present and solidarity in an acute shift to the right.
