ThirstDay: Wilted Time - Nadelør @ Maschinenpark - Performance und Kopfhörer-Konzert

In the organizer's words:

After the sound artist burgund t brandt and the multi-instrumentalist Nime aka "Nadelør" developed the soundwalk "Klangtour Kunst" on the Zollverein site in 2022, the electro-acoustic duo invites you to a site-specific sound concert in the machine park of the Zeche Zollverein in 2025 as part of ThirstDay.

Complex compositions unfold between the relics of industrial mining, in which the machines become resonating and sounding bodies and enter into a dialog with the post-industrial and natural sound environment of the site. The audience experiences the concert in the midst of the machinery via headphones - giving them the opportunity to immerse themselves in a unique world of sound.

Nadelør

Nadelør develops electro-acoustic soundscapes that are created at the intersection of natural and artificial sounds. Polyrhythmic structures, microtonal interweaving, filigree percussion, abstract vocal fragments and electroacoustic transformations through delay, pitch-shifting, feedback and panning merge into a multi-layered sound texture.

ThirstDay - your thirst quencher on Thursday

With a colorful mix of concerts, readings, lectures, performances and DiY/creative workshops, the new event format ThirstDay regularly and reliably quenches the thirst for cultural exchange and get-togethers. In a very special Zollverein atmosphere, the focus is on inspiration, new perspectives, food for thought and - last but not least - encounters. At the convivial get-together afterwards, there's plenty of time and space for sharing ideas, as well as suitable drinks and snacks.

Pay what you want - you decide how much you want to pay: there are four price levels to choose from: €5, €10, €15 or €20 - choose the amount that is feasible for you. With the "Pay what you want" principle, we want to give as many people as possible access to a wide range of events - regardless of their budget. If it is possible for you to pay a higher amount, we would be delighted if you did so. In this way, you also support other guests who can currently afford less.
