Thomas Scheytt is regarded as "one of the best contemporary boogie and blues pianists. In his playing, he combines high pianistic skill with an incredible, deeply felt variety of expression" (Jazzpodium Deutschland).

On Saturday, September 12, 2026 at 6 pm, he will be performing blues & boogie woogie classics and his own compositions at the Spitalhof in Reutlingen.

Thomas Scheytt is one of the busiest musicians on the European blues and boogie scene. For over 20 years, he has not only performed as a soloist, but also with his trio Boogie Connection in jazz clubs and at festivals at home and abroad - four times at the world-famous New Orleans Jazz Festival in Ascona alone.

Scheytt has received several awards. His CD Blues Colours was nominated for the German Record Critics' Award and he won the German Blues Award twice in 2015.
