Thorsten Nagelschmidt & Lambert - "Nur für Mitglieder" - Die große Weihnachtsrevue

When writer and musician Thorsten Nagelschmidt (including "Arbeit", "Soledad", Muff Potter) decided to translate parts of his next book "Nur für Mitglieder" into music, he teamed up with Berlin musician and producer Lambert to produce an album with depth and wit that transcends genre boundaries.

The result is a firework of beats, piano capers and wild cascades of lyrics about an all-inclusive hotel in Gran Canaria, 86 hours of The Sopranos in eleven days, origins, family and escaping the annual December depression. The motto and refrain of the first single: "Never again Christmas in Germany."

"Nur für Mitglieder", the book, will be published by MÄRZ Verlag on 10.9.2025. "Nur für Mitglieder", the album, will follow on 7.11.2025 at Clouds Hill, and in December, in the middle of the contemplative Advent season, Nagelschmidt and Lambert will go on tour together.

Thorsten Nagelschmidt, born in Rheine in 1976, is an author, musician and artist living in Berlin. Since 1993, he has been the singer, lyricist and guitarist of the band Muff Potter, who released their first album in thirteen years in 2022 with 'Bei aller Liebe'. In 2007, he published his debut novel 'Wo die wilden Maden graben', followed by other books, most recently the novels 'Arbeit' (2020) and 'Soledad' (2024). In 2024, 'Arbeit' was selected for the 'Berlin liest ein Buch' campaign. In September 2025, 'Nur für Miglieder' will be published by MÄRZ Verlag, which, like Nagelschmidt's second novel 'Was kostet die Welt' from 2010, will be accompanied by a musical adaptation.

Lambert, the Berlin-based pianist, composer and producer, invented himself and his career in 2014 with the album 'Lambert'. In 2017, he was signed to Mercury KX in England, where he is still under contract today and has released numerous albums. Lambert became known beyond his own albums with a whole series of 'reworks', in which he reinterpreted well-known pieces on the piano and published them on YouTube. Together with Felix Weigt, he has been running the Lambert Klamra Jazz podcast since 2023. His most recent album 'Actually Good' was released in 2024.
