At Thrash Assault Bonn there's only one thing for die-hard fans of this genre: thrash metal. The bands Mähthräsher and Grufflo from Bonn, as well as Lesson In Violence from Schweinfurt will strain your neck muscles to such an extent that you will have pure joy.

LESSON IN VIOLENCE: Fast, uncompromising and classic thrash metal without cosmetics and frills! LESSON IN VIOLENCE was founded in 2019 by five experienced musicians and named after a song by Exodus. Their declared goal is to deliver awesome thrash metal, violent fun, straight into the blood! After a few shows with Bodyfarm, Knife, Cypecore, Extomorf, Crisix, Profanity and others, their 2nd longplayer has now been released on Iron Shield Records.

MÄHTHRASHER: "Mähthräsh the wörld"; true to this motto, the wild land machine is now rolling through the clubs of the republic with the current crew! With the new addition on the vocal front, this band shows the whole range of mowing tools that this monster has up its sleeve. This five-piece is ready to drill their way through the auditory canals directly into the cerebral nervous system of the inclined listener with cutting precision and an all-out groove, sparing not even the smallest blade of grass!!! With the album "killing fields", inspired by the music that the individual musicians listen to, a versatile album was created that doesn't fit into any pigeonhole.

GRUFFLO: Grufflo is a thrash metal band from Bonn, which was founded in 2022. In October 2023, they released their first EP "Tree Of Life", which they presented live for the first time at the MTC Cologne in January 2024. Since then, they have performed as headliners at RPZ Bonn and Valhalla Metal Pub Cologne and opened for Anti Anti Anti at Sonic Ballroom or the million-clicked Swiss Xonor at JKC Troisdorf. In total, the band played 16 concerts over the following 1 ½ years. Including at the renowned Push and Trafostation 61 festivals. The second EP "Making Art" followed in April 2025 - more professional and better recorded. A foretaste of what the debut album will bring. Musically, Grufflo is a thrash metal band that combines modern precision with old school riffing. Added to this are vocals from black/death, solos from heavy metal and progressive drums, rhythms and song structures. Despite their young age and the short time since their live debut, they have made a name for themselves nationwide and show no signs of fatigue. Unpack your frocks and studded wristbands. The 80s are back!!!
