ThxSoMch is the Canadian singer and songwriter Carter De Filippis, who began releasing music in 2022. With his modern mix of emo-rap and wavy indie rock, it wasn't long before he made his international breakthrough in November 2022 with the release of his now multi-platinum single "SPIT IN MY FACE!". The song brought ThxSoMch into the international charts for the first time and today has over 695 million streams on Spotify, where it became the singer's biggest success to date with the track "Hate" from the EP "Sleeze " released in 2023. With new songs in his luggage, 23-year-old ThxSoMch will also be coming to Munich and Cologne on his The Sound Of You Laughing Tour in December 2025 to present his debut album "Sound Of You Laughing" live.

ThxSoMch comes from Toronto, Canada, and made his debut in 2022 with the single "Runaway (Move Quick)", which is still clearly emo rap. After further singles, the musician continued to develop his sound with the songs "Imperfect Girl" and "Keep It Tucked". Both songs convince with clear choruses, more vocals and reveal influences from pop-punk, eighties new wave, indie and bedroom pop amidst electronic beats and his subtle emo-rap roots - a mix that quickly proved to be the musician's recipe for success. His single "SPIT IN MY FACE!" brought ThxSoMch his breakthrough in 2023. In Germany, the song reached number 76 in the singles charts, where it also stayed for three weeks. "SPIT IN MY FACE!" has since gone double platinum in Canada and has also maintained this status in the USA and Poland. Following the release of the EP "Sleeze" (2023), on which "Hate" became the artist's next hit, four more singles were released in 2024: "Hide Your Kids", "that b*tch don't even know my name", "Knocking At My Door" and "BITTER". In June 2025, ThxSoMch released the rocking track "Would You", followed by the single "Sound Of You Laughing" from the debut album of the same name, which will be released on August 29. On a total of 13 tracks, ThxSoMch then presents his atmospheric and catchy sound in full for the first time and teased the sound of the album further with "Unhinged" . The emo rapper from Toronto has long since become a seasoned singer with an international sound who lives in the spheres of alt-pop and inspires with his genre-rejecting sound and an engaging atmosphere far beyond the boundaries of the familiar.
