Tortoise are one of the most influential bands of the last decades and have made music history with their unmistakable, cross-genre sound. Since their formation in Chicago in 1990, the five multi-instrumentalists Dan Bitney, John Herndon, Doug McCombs, John McEntire and Jeff Parker have been shaping the contemporary music scene and are considered co-founders of "post-rock".

With just seven albums - including classics such as Millions Now Living Will Never Die (1996) and TNT (1998) - the band has set new standards. Now, after almost ten years, they are finally returning to European stages with their new album Touch in their luggage. Live, Tortoise are an experience in themselves: full of energy, full of joy and unpredictable - a "live miracle"(Rolling Stone).
