Torun Eriksen Quartett - Norwegischer Jazz neu erfunden

Torun presents her new album "Fastlandet" (=Festland) in the Sendesaal.

With her seventh solo release on Jazzland Recordings, the well-known Norwegian singer ventures into new territory: the lyrics are Norwegian, the format is trio-based, the soundscape electro-acoustic, and the music is both improvised and carefully composed, multi-layered and intricate.

"Fastlandet" tells stories of loss, but also of what it's like to appreciate what you have while it's still there: life, each other, the moment - more important than anything else and yet so incredibly difficult for us. "Fastlandet" is an attempt to create a place where you can exist in the here and now.
