Traumfabrik Jazzorchester

The Traumfabrik Jazzorchester is a young big band from Frankfurt that brings fresh impetus to the regional jazz scene. Founded in 2024 by four music students, the ensemble brings together up-and-coming professional musicians who create a distinctive sound with their joy of playing and artistic expression.

The focus is on the music of Finn Heine - guitarist, composer and co-founder of the orchestra. Born in Frankfurt am Main in 2002, he initially received his training at Dr. Hoch's Conservatory before being sponsored by Vince Mendoza and Florian Ross as a scholarship holder of the renowned WDR Big Band Composer Fellowship Program. His musical career led him via the Hessen State Youth Jazz Orchestra and the Federal Jazz Orchestra to his own projects such as Quartertone and the award-winning Discovery Collective. His compositions combine modern big band sounds with singable melodies and colorful harmonies. Intimate, quiet passages alternate with dense, energetic tutti moments. The orchestra stands for concerts full of energy, joy of playing and musical curiosity.
