The building of Germany's oldest private bank has been the melting pot of Frankfurt's urban society since June 2023. Art & culture pulsate in the zeitgeist. Design offices meet international architects. Fan culture meets high culture. Street art meets classic photography. Join the makers on an exciting guided tour behind the scenes, into branched catacombs & cellars and enjoy delicious coffee & cake at the end of the tour.
THE EVENT
Many things come together in the new Massif Central in Bethmannhof: Urban Creativity, traffic turnaround, bicycle city, city center 2.0, real estate development concepts, conversion pilots, ideas, visions, literature. But also city, state & federal politics - all this meets local commitment, fashion, shoowroms, studios & concept stores, right next to Frankfurt's Römer. Sounds like a dream? That's right!
During the tour, a total of 3 floors of the old Bethmann Bank will be visited. The meeting point is Central Park, the inner courtyard of the Bethmannhof. Together we will then head to the heart of the building, the café and bistro. Even though you could spend hours there looking at everything and explaining the concept, the tour continues through the Flipper Lounge and the Skateboarding Art Cube to the event areas.
On the tour, maker Florian Joeckel will tell you what exactly Massif Central is, why the Bethmannhof was exactly the right place at the right time for the move and where the journey is still heading.
On the upper floor, there are insights into the Creative Office Spaces, before the highlight is a visit to the hidden cellar worlds of the old Bethmann Bank, which are normally inaccessible to NOBODY. From the vault to the Brauchbach - many an unexpected surprise comes to light here.
Back on the first floor, the brand new Vogel Strauss concept store opens its doors. If you still haven't had enough, you can continue looking around the café or simply take a seat and immerse yourself in the world of Massif Central...
At the end of the tour, you can enjoy coffee and cake in the wonderful Massif Central Café & Bistro.
