When home becomes fragile: The Trio d'Iroise plays Gideon Klein's String Trio, completed in the Terezin ghetto - a work that evokes the power of Moravian folk tunes in the face of annihilation. The Syrian exile composer Wassim Ibrahim wrote his "Prayer for Hope" for the ensemble, characterized by expressive quarter tones. The concert concludes with the trio by the composing captain Jean Cras, composed in 1926 on the ship's piano.
