Trotz-Alledem-Theater: Der kleine Prinz

Cartographer 1 and cartographer 2 from planet number 6 are very stressed. They have to survey the entire universe, which takes time. And now they also encounter a surprised audience. In order to better assess who they have encountered here, they take a test that they have learned from a strange visitor to their planet. They can't get him out of their heads because he only called himself "The Little Prince". And he had fallen out with his rose. Since then, he has been traveling through space in search of a friend of the heart. He lands on strange little planets with even stranger inhabitants, all of whom are very busy, mostly with themselves. And the little prince finds nothing. Cartographer 1 and Cartographer 2 finally advise him to try the planet called Earth.

So the little prince ends up falling into the desert we know from the famous story. He meets the pilot who is trying to repair her plane. He meets the fox who teaches him how to tame him. He gets the useless muzzle for his sheep. And he has touched many hearts at the end of his journey. So we laugh when we look up at the starry sky and think we hear the little prince's laughter.

Thorsten Bihegue has adapted the story, which has been adapted many times, into an agile version. Without denying or losing the poetry of the original, the author creates the necessary distance to the kitsch through a performative level: the little eccentric who wants to see the world with his heart comes even closer to us.
