"Seen like this, inside is outside" is the motto that Ingrid Lausund, known to many as the author of "Tatortreiniger", has given to her comedy TÜR AUF, TÜR ZU. And the play now tests this steep thesis again and again: Is inside really somehow also outside or doesn't being outside feel very different from being inside for those who are really outside? Anneliez experiences this for herself, who - forgive her - misses the jump and now waits outside for the door to open for her again. While others walk in, march out, transport themselves away in an ambulance, while men, dogs, horses and even a George Cloony imitation try out the door as an opener, the door remains closed for her. Even the choir, who are there to play all these others, have no answer to the question of why this is actually the case. But Anneliez soon has a hunch. But to admit that to herself, no, that would mean that ...

TÜR AUF, TÜR ZU is a door-open, door-closed comedy about everything and nothing, and a wonderful allegory about the expectations, demands and cruelties (to women) in the (working) world. And incidentally, the play is a declaration of love to the theater - because there is so much wit in Lausund's language and characters that you can literally sit in it. Hadihadihadiho!
