Türkische Kunstmusik

In the organizer's words:

The aim of this event is to make Turkish art music known in Germany and to present it in its various facets.

The musicians, who are committed to Turkish art music and enjoy playing it as a hobby, want to arouse interest and perhaps even fascination for this special type of music and at the same time build a musical bridge between Turkish and Western music.

As early as 1988, a group of music lovers of Turkish classical art music came together under the auspices of the Workers' Welfare Association Ludwigshafen, from which the community of musicians that still exists today emerged. The 1st Association for Turkish Art Music Ludwigshafen was finally founded on November 26, 1999. The ensemble has been directed by Abdulkadir Göl for 15 years.
