Swinging jazz with chamber music-like ease and virtuosity - Kassel trumpeter Urban Beyer proves time and again that traditional jazz styles are perfectly suited to the serious jazz club, even the concert hall.
His duo partner from Paris: Jean-Baptiste Franc, the internationally acclaimed world champion of the stride piano, Erroll Garner is a top-class performer and a brilliant accompanist and soloist.
They were acclaimed by jazz audiences on their short tour of Northern Hesse last January, and since then Urban Beyer and Jean-Baptiste Franc have repeatedly come together in different line-ups, mainly on various occasions in Paris.
Now they are back in town as "Two Of A Kind" and even have a duo CD with them - recorded live in the Theaterstübchen at their last concert.
