Wuppertal singer René Oschmann has been an avid fan of German superstar Udo Lindenberg for many years. He has been impersonating Panik Udo on stages in the Colorful Republic of Germany since 2012.
He has christened the project UDOPIA, with which he has been paying homage to his musical idol since 2016. UDOPIA is a grandiose show - the full program of the best songs of the singing nightingale Udo Lindenberg.

The UDOPIA project was founded back in 2015 and celebrated a roaring premiere at the Wuppertal charity festival WUPPERTAL HILFT! 2016 and celebrated a roaring premiere. The more than 3,000 fans were so enthusiastic that René Oschmann & Co were clear: We're going on to the end of the world.

René Oschmann, Udo Lindenberg's twin brother, presents the perfect illusion with gifted professional musicians at his side, visually and acoustically authentic, always with the greatest respect for the original.

René Oschmann has met his idol Udo Lindenberg time and again on his musical journey. A milestone in his life: in 2015, the Wuppertal singer performed on the sailing ship Golden Leuww in Hamburg as part of the presentation of the biography of Steffi Stephan, Udo Lindenberg's long-time friend and bassist of his Panik Orchestra.

Udo Lindenberg himself was also on board. The Panik rocker suddenly stood next to René Oschmann on stage and sang one of his well-known songs with him. "I still get goosebumps today when I think about this unique experience," admits the Wuppertal musician. But that was not all. At the end of the concert, he received high praise from Panik Udo himself: "Good yodeling, dude!" A real accolade!

He recently met his musical idol during the filming of the crime series "Alles kommt zurück" with Maria Furtwängler and Udo Lindenberg at the Hotel Atlantic in Hamburg. René Oschmann himself had a speaking role in the crime series as Udo Lindenberg's double, mind you.
