Un Avenir Prometteur (The promise of the future)

In the organizer's words:

The documentary accompanies three refugees in Paris on their journey. What unites them is their common goal: to gain a foothold in their new home country and make a contribution to society.

Mariama is an IT crack from Sierra Leone. Nada first escaped Syria's dictator Assad and now translates poetic verses with somnambulistic confidence. Omar's dream of a career in taekwondo has been put on hold by the Taliban for the time being. In Paris, he is finally getting closer to his dream. Far away from home, all three young adults want to stand on their own two feet. In France's capital, they are investing in their future and building something for themselves. After all, a good job is the key to successful integration. Camila, who came from Venezuela herself, supports refugees in their search with her association. She knows that the path to employment in Europe is difficult, even with existing qualifications. "Un Avenir Prometteur" [Promising the Future] takes the migration and integration debate a step further. What comes after arrival, asylum application and work permit?
