Un Poyo Rojo

A changing room, an old radio, two men and very tight shorts. That's all the company Poyo Rojo needs to set off a veritable firework display of entertainment. Un Poyo Rojo shows physical theater at its best: a wonderfully bizarre mixture of dance, slapstick and movement.

With a twinkle in its eye, "Un Poyo Rojo" takes its audience into a testosterone-filled changing room where two top dogs clash. A battle for dominance and attention begins immediately. No words are exchanged, instead Luciano Rosso and Alfonso Barón let their bodies do the talking: The movements flow between wrestling, wrestling, capoeira, acrobatics and dance, demonstrating the emotional range in relationships between men.

Oscillating between competition and camaraderie, seduction and sabotage, they skillfully deconstruct stereotypical notions of masculinity.
