Democracy is under pressure - at least that's the feeling. But what is political reality, what is media reinforcement, what is a collective crisis habit?
At the next UNPREPARED NIGHT, Dirk von Gehlen (Head of SZ Institute, journalist & author) and Prof. Dr. Ursula Münch (Director of the Academy for Political Education Tutzing) will talk about democratic optimism, the dramaturgy of pessimism and the question of why the state of democracy often feels darker than it perhaps is.
So you can expect an interactive discussion about the media, politics and the art of not succumbing to permanent pessimism.
Oh, and did you know? You won't be served up any pre-rehearsed presentations by our talk guests. They are unprepared. Why is that good? Because we want to break down the usual barrier between expert and audience. With a few tools and methods, we will guide you through the evening together and thus ensure more exchange directly - not just at the get-together drink.
Sounds good? Then come along! Maybe you'll be part of something really big. If not, you'll just have a nice evening in even nicer company. I promise!
