Our pit is the most beautiful place to play. With weeds, tree stumps and stones, anything is possible! Only adults see it differently: too dangerous! Why do adults always interfere? Why are their play ideas always so boring? What are the adults afraid of?

Together with young people, pulk fiktion brings the picture book Our Pit by Emma AdBåge to the stage. Here, play becomes a social site of negotiation: between rules and freedom, fear and a spirit of adventure.

The Cologne-based collective "pulk fiktion" has been setting standards for years with its artistic works for young audiences: formally unconventional, politically alert, aesthetically outstanding. For this, it was recently honored with the Tabori Prize 2025.
