[Ustad Noor Bakhsh is a master of Balochistan benju and a living archive of an infinitely rich musical tradition of Persian and Kurdish melodies and far beyond. The almost 80-year-old traditional musician from the remote Pakistani region of Balochistan has been greeted by enthusiastic audiences almost everywhere he has performed. The performances of Noor and his fellow musicians Doshambay and Daniyal Ahmed sent the audience into a wild dancing frenzy, which is rather unusual for a performance on string instruments.
