Uwe Gaasch. Fotografische Inszenierungen

In summer 2025, the museums of the city of Bamberg will present an exciting exhibition of the work of Bamberg photographer Uwe Gaasch at the Villa Dessauer, providing a unique insight into his versatile art photography. Uwe Gaasch is primarily known as an architectural photographer and musician, but in recent years he has increasingly turned to art photography. On display are works that capture nature, animals and cityscapes in vivid colors and high-contrast black and white tones. In addition, fascinating architectural images are presented that take up the theme of architecture in new and innovative ways.

The aim of the exhibition is to show the public the great diversity of Uwe Gaasch's art photography. Almost 100 works will be presented in 14 thematically designed rooms, which are characterized by their diverse subject areas. Many of the photographs on display are accessible to the public for the first time. The exhibition is complemented by interviews with the artist, which provide an insight into his working methods and the creative processes behind his photographs.
