Bright colors in the middle of winter: A new exhibition at the Baukunstarchiv NRW fans out creative worlds of color using a wide range of models, materials and samples. "Worlds of Color - Fascinating Materials and Stories of Pigments and Dyes" can be seen from 7.11. to 14.12.2025 in the Garden Hall of the Baukunstarchiv NRW.

Colors shape our everyday lives, the things that surround us, how we live and how we orient ourselves. Yet we rarely consciously perceive them in their materiality and differentiation. The exhibition focuses on the significance of colors for the perception of nature and culture and reveals the fascinating history of color materials, their extraction, technical production and application in the arts, architecture, medicine and natural sciences.

A vernissage will take place on November 06, 2025 at 7 pm. Input will be provided by artists and photographers, among others. More information and program at: www.baukunstarchiv.nrw
