In their new program "Tangosphere", Vierfarbensaxophon now dedicate themselves to the rousing music of the Argentine bandoneon virtuoso Astor Piazzolla, who revolutionized the tango with his overwhelming variety in the second half of the 20th century and led it from the dance stage to the great concert halls of the world with his Tango Nuevo. For this exclusive, unique program for saxophone quartet and accordion, Vierfarbensaxophon have teamed up with accordionist Thomas Humm.

The five virtuosos take their audience on a musical journey from the origins of the tango as a musical art form to Astor Piazzolla's central work, the "Four Seasons of Buenos Aires" - the "Argentinian answer" to Vivaldi's famous cycle "The Four Seasons" - and surprise their audience with witty anecdotes about the composer and man Piazzolla as well as his extraordinary music and its creation.
