Vis Motrix // CocoonDance Company

In the organizer's words:

They are creatures from another world. They move through space with fascinatingly bizarre energy. Morphing into an organism of man and machine. And create a hypnotic pull that becomes inescapable. "Vis motrix" means "the moving force" - and is aimed at the soul. In this production, the Bonn-based company CocoonDance creates hybrid creatures that get to the bottom of movement itself. The group thus continues the search for the as yet unthought body: transhumanism as a traumatic dance round dance that touches the unconscious. Most recently, CocoonDance was our guest with CHOREIA - this expansive expansion of dance to include voice and sound. With VIS MOTRIX, choreographer Rafaële Giovanola has once again created a work of hypnotic movement intelligence. With dancers as "fantastic sci-fi superorganisms on the trail of the secret of life" ( tanz magazine ).
