The Ottensener Drahtstifte-Fabrik J.D. Feldtmann gets down to business
For over 100 years from 1883, the wire pin factory produced in the now listed Zeißstraße, which is considered an exceptional example of early workers' housing.
In 1985, the descendants of the company founder closed the small business, which was no longer profitable. The district archive moved into the buildings and secured their preservation and inventory.
The old houses and also the transmission-operated company locksmith's store, the wire pins and wire drawing machines have been preserved as an industrial monument and will be demonstrated.
