Demonstration of historical machines from the Feldtmann wire pin factory. On Open Monument Day, the machines will be demonstrated as required between 12 noon and 3 pm. Just drop by.

The Ottensener Drahtstifte-Fabrik J.D. Feldtmann gets down to business

For over 100 years from 1883, the wire nail factory produced in the now listed Zeißstraße, which is considered an exceptional example of early workers' housing.

In 1985, the descendants of the company founder closed the small business, which was no longer profitable. The district archive moved into the buildings and secured their preservation and inventory.

The old houses and the transmission-operated company locksmith's store, the wire pins and wire drawing machines have been preserved as industrial monuments and are on display.
