A collaboration between Bochum-based author Esra Canpalat and Duisburg-based photographer Fatih Kurçeren has resulted in a six-part column for Interkultur Ruhr entitled "Vom Rande aus", which documents the two artists' personal round trip through the Ruhr region. Kamen, Oer-Erkenschwick, Breckerfeld, Ahlen, Hagen and Istanbul are the stops on this journey.
For the exhibition at STADT_RAUM in the Museum of Art and Cultural History, the column has been expanded to include audio recordings of the texts read by the author. The presentation is complemented by a sound piece by Foley artist Simone Nowicki.
