Pianist Andrei Gologan and cellist Nepomuk Braun will present a varied program of works by Brahms, Ligeti and Prokofiev at this year's matinée on 1 Advent.
Andrei Gologan was praised by the Süddeutsche Zeitung as a "lyricist of piano playing" and has won numerous international piano competitions. He is a regular guest at major festivals such as the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, the Mozartwoche in Salzburg, the Schwetzingen SWR Festival and the Heidelberger Frühling.
Nepomuk Braun already gained important experience during his studies with the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Vienna Philharmonic and the Camerata Salzburg. He has received numerous prestigious awards and prizes with the Adelphi Quartet, including at the Heidelberg Spring String Quartet Festival competition. He is also the founder and co-director of the Polliphonic Music Festival in Bavaria.
