Anti-Semitism has not only been a problem since October 7, 2023. Since that date, however, its ugly face has been showing itself in a brazen, shameless form in public. It is not only the brutal Hamas attack on Israel that is shocking. What is also shocking is the willingness with which anti-Semitic positions are reproduced in supposedly liberal social groups without reflection or questioning. Anti-Semitism must therefore be seen as a problem that is located in the breadth of society. Accordingly, there is no social and cultural field in which anti-Semitic perspectives, positions and ideas do not exist, can be taken up and reproduced. As an art and cultural association that focuses on the comics genre, we are therefore organizing a lecture series in 2025 that deals with anti-Semitism. The lectures lie at the interface between academic lectures and lectures aimed at a broader audience.
