Everything is getting more and more expensive. And after his father also loses his job, Ebeneser and his parents have to move into a much smaller apartment. This relegation is hard to comprehend and feels much worse than when your favorite football team gets hit. Fortunately, Ebeneser meets Sammy. She is the best goalkeeper in the whole block of flats and helps him to find his feet in his new circumstances. From now on, the two of them are a great team and stick together all the more when the social cold blows up in their faces: They can't go on the planned ski trip with their school class because their parents don't have the money. Left alone at school, they devise a plan to confront their classmates when they return.

With Wutschweiger, the young audience experiences how Ebeneser and Sammy strengthen each other thanks to their friendship, endure seemingly hopeless situations together and surpass themselves in the process.
