WANDELKONZERT

This popular concert series gives visitors the opportunity to get to know early music from the 17th and 18th centuries in the unique setting of the palace. After dreaming themselves back in time to the atmospheric and historic sounds of the Neue Düsseldorfer Hofmusik, they can then let their impressions sink in as they stroll through the main building.

Every year, the Wandelkonzerte enchants with Advent anticipation and musical delights. Works from a wide range of styles can be heard, from the early classical period to the Romantic era. We will hear some rather unknown names from the transitional period at the end of the 18th century, as well as Mozart and Schubert. The program will be moderated by Prof. Dr. Stefan Schweizer, Chairman of the Foundation.

The concert is part of the Year of Music and is sponsored by the Sparda-Bank West Foundation for Art, Culture and Social Affairs.
