We draw conclusions about our future from the present. But it rarely makes sense to simply extrapolate what is happening today. There are often disruptions and unexpected developments - e.g. through new technologies such as smartphones or language-competent artificial intelligence. Looking into the future is therefore difficult, but fortunately there are people who are taking on precisely this task. On the podium, we will be discussing with the renowned futurologist, author, science and technology journalist Dr. Ulrich Eberl. What methods does futurology use? What is meant by the prediction paradox? And why - despite major crises - are there reasons to be optimistic about the future?
