waves are omnipresent is the second part of our mini-series HYPER about the post-digital age: it shows how our lives are shaped by digital streams, ever more, ever faster, ever further: the result is an audiovisual image of our time. Weird electronica and hyperpop meet voices, spaces and pulsating sounds that make pleasure, frustration, togetherness and loneliness audible and tangible. Digital waves of our everyday lives are transformed into intense soundscapes, merging with wind, field recordings and voices, allowing us to reflect on ourselves. HYPER makes it possible to experience the speed, interconnectedness and intensity of our time and at the same time reminds us where we come from and that we humans are at the center of it all.
