On October 30, 2025, Munich-based artist Lina Danitz opened her solo exhibition "Wege der Balance" at the Düsseldorf gallery "It's Art Baby!". The artist, who was born in Ratingen and went to school in Düsseldorf, is thus returning to her roots. Lina Danitz is half German, half Japanese - her dual cultural imprint is a central theme of her work. Questions of origin, identity and roots run like a common thread through her work and lend her pictures particular depth and emotional resonance.
"As half-German and half-Japanese, I grew up with two cultures that could hardly be more different. In my art, I look for a balance between these worlds - for me, balance means not separating the opposites within me, but allowing them to vibrate in harmony," says Danitz. Her works are currently exhibited in renowned galleries such as the JANZEN Gallery in Düsseldorf, the All You Can Art Gallery in Munich and the Kunsthaus Ratingen. Now they can be seen with this solo exhibition at the IAB Gallery in Düsseldorf.
The exhibition takes place at the IAB Gallery - It's Art, Baby!, which opened its new location at Hohe Straße 35 in Düsseldorf on October 30. After two and a half successful years on Nordstraße, Radhika Mohan's gallery in the heart of Düsseldorf's Carlstadt district is moving to larger premises with even more space for encounters, creative freedom and honest art. On 100 m², a lively space is being created that breaks down barriers and makes it possible to experience art: approachable, open and full of personality.
The new, light-flooded gallery space is minimalist and clear, but at the same time warm and inviting. With the IAB Gallery, gallery owner Radhika Mohan has created a place where art, design and people enter into a dialog. "I wanted to create a place where art is not an obstacle, but an invitation - for everyone who wants to be touched." - Radhika Mohan, founder and gallery owner of IAB Gallery.
