In winter there are no mushrooms, no blackberries and no honey in Bear Valley. In winter there is only snow, snow, snow in the Bear Valley. All the bears, big and small, sleep deep under the blanket of snow in their cave. They hibernate. They sleep through the snow and ice and only wake up again when spring arrives. Yes, they even sleep through Christmas... All of them? - No, not one. Berti is lying in his cave and can't sleep because one thought is running through his head: Will Santa not forget me? And so Berti sets off into the dark winter night in search of Santa Claus.
In a snow-covered stage set, an actress narrates and plays Berti's search for Santa Claus. The play alternates between acting, storytelling and puppetry - small, simple lighting effects create a great atmosphere.
