The "Rund ums Eis" Christmas market will take place from December 12 to 14, 2025 on the town hall square in Markkleeberg. Over three days, the square will be transformed into a compact winter wonderland with stalls, ice cream activities and a stage program. The market is organized on a voluntary basis, Free admission; open on Friday from 17:00 to 22:00, on Saturday from 12:00 to 22:00 and on Sunday from 12:00 to 18:00.

In terms of content, "Rund ums Eis" combines classic Christmas market offerings with a clear focus on winter sports and hands-on activities. Special features include a curling rink, ice hockey goal shooting and other stations such as snowball shooting, which provide small competitions and exercise in the open air. A stage program with performances by local dance and music schools, contributions from the Markkleeberg Carnival Club and other formats is aimed at families and visitors from the region. Recurring figures such as the polar bear "Flocke" and Santa Claus set specific accents for children.
