Wein-Event DRESSCODE: WEIN "Auf der Suche nach versteckten Juwelen"

Dear wine lovers,

Fancy a little wanderlust? Then save yourself a glass - because what we will discover on our tour through Istria, Slovenia and Austria will be anything but ordinary.

We have deliberately set ourselves a destination off the beaten track. Instead: small, passionate winegrowers who press new wines with genuine old-fashioned craftsmanship, character and a good dose of experimentation that will amaze you - and us too.

What makes these wineries so special?

They manage the balancing act between innovative methods and age-old cultivation wisdom. Here, modern cellar technology meets centuries-old knowledge, tradition meets curiosity - and you can taste it in every sip. Not a break in style, but a flowing dialog between yesterday and today.

In Istria, we test mineral Malvasias, taste the salty sea air and sun-drenched herb meadows in the glass. The strong Teran with its pronounced tannin content. And for dessert, a full-bodied Prosek.

In Slovenia, we specialize in the north-east. This is where the real hidden gems of the European wine scene can be found. We look forward to Orange Wines that could hardly be more intense: wild, unpolished, lively.

And in Austria? Well, there are a few very special calibers. Natural wines rich in finesse, elegant red wines and even a few freaky pet nats that dance deliciously over the tongue.

We let our vitamin B play its part this time. We already have some very promising addresses in our pockets and are finalizing the last appointments with strong winemakers. We also keep an open mind and make the odd detour to a winery that we happen to come across.

The best thing: the treasures end up directly with you

At DRESSCODE: WEIN on November 13 at 7 p.m., we'll serve them to you in Martin's very stylish rooms. All the unusual wines that we tasted on our wine tour and found to be exceptionally good. And invite you to join us on the journey. No chi-chi, no blah-blah - just good wines, an honest exchange and a convivial get-together among wine lovers.

For all open-minded people: this tasting is your ticket to an enjoyable journey through three regions that have more to offer than you might think.
