In the organizer's words:
A wine festival in the middle of Upper Bavaria? Yes, because drinking wine also has a very long tradition in Wasserburg. There are records of 43 wine taverns in the town dating back to 1464. And even today, the wine festival is a celebration of the local innkeepers. Every year on the last Saturday in July, locals and guests alike enjoy their wine under the open summer sky and under the romantic arcades of the old town.
