WELCOME HOME BABY is a psychological thriller that uses the tools of the genre to confront us with questions of trauma, identity and self-empowerment.

Judith (Julia Franz Richter) has inherited a house she has never heard of, from a family she knew nothing about, one she never wanted and who gave Judith away as a child. She travels to Austria with her husband Ryan (Reinout Scholten van Aschat) to handle the sale of the family home. There she meets her opaque aunt Paula (Gerti Drassl), who tries to keep her in the village. The longer Judith stays in her former home, the stronger the images and feelings from her subconscious come to the surface. In her search for the truth, she unleashes forces beyond her imagination, loses control over space and time - and over her own will. She is trapped in her own nightmare. Can Judith break the cycle, as her mother tried in vain to do before her?
